Hot creamy caramel, roasted hazelnuts, over-ripe pears and soft vanilla drift into play. Maple syrup, delicate aged oloroso sherry and crushed almonds all add to make this an opulent dram.
Here's what Richard Paterson, Master Blender, tasted: Baked apple segments dusted with Demerara sugar and cinnamon, kiwi fruits and hot mulled wine. A fusion of sundried sultanas, glazed pineapple and lemon verbena provides the perfect aftertaste.
Cask Finish -
The Jura Tastival bottlings are always a little more experimental as they strive to push the boundaries for thier annual celebration of taste. This year the Tastival expression is finished in three specially selected sherry casks. They used an 11 year old Palomino Fino sherry cask, a 15 year old "Amoroso" oloroso sherry cask and a 30 year old "Apostoles" oloroso sherry cask to give this liquid its unique flavour profile.
