There is a luxury feeling to the flavours inherent in this new whiskey, but there is a distinct lack of information regarding the overwhelming creosote taste that lingers and is apparent in the mouth and nose at inset.
Its not lacking in strength either. There is an abundance of other flavours, peat, treacle, straw and a slight nod to tabacco, but the warming effect on the tongue and throat is inviting and after the intensity of the tarring, it becomes palatable (after a few glasses) to such a degree that I found it extremely moorish.
It became the quickest 70cl of whiskey I have drunk (about 3 weeks) and I am looking forward to next years malt.
I am now a fan.
